Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of RentFast (the “Service”), operated by Principium Technology LLC (“RentFast,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
RentFast is a software platform that helps property managers collect rent from tenants online. RentFast is not a bank, money transmitter, or lender. Payment processing is provided by Stripe, Inc. (“Stripe”), and all payments are subject to Stripe’s own terms and services. RentFast does not hold or custody tenant or property manager funds.
3. Accounts
You must provide accurate, current information when creating an account and keep it up to date. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account and for keeping your login credentials confidential. Property managers are responsible for completing identity verification (“KYC”) and bank account setup through Stripe Connect before they can receive payouts.
4. Property Manager Responsibilities
Property managers are solely responsible for the accuracy of property, unit, lease, and rent information entered into RentFast; for complying with all applicable landlord-tenant, consumer protection, and tax laws in their jurisdiction; and for any communications, disputes, or agreements with their tenants outside of the payment collection functionality RentFast provides.
5. Tenant Responsibilities
Tenants using RentFast to pay rent authorize the payment amount and method they submit and are responsible for ensuring sufficient funds are available. Payment disputes related to the underlying lease should be directed to the property manager.
6. Fees
RentFast charges a transaction fee on payments processed through the Service, as disclosed in the product at the time of setup. By default, the property manager absorbs this fee from their payout; a property manager may choose to instead pass the fee to the tenant. Fees are subject to change with notice posted in the product or sent to the account’s registered email.
7. Prohibited Uses
You may not use RentFast for any unlawful purpose, to process payments unrelated to legitimate rent or property-related charges, to circumvent Stripe’s underwriting or compliance requirements, or to interfere with the Service’s normal operation.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. RentFast does not guarantee that payments will be processed without delay or error, and is not liable for actions taken by Stripe, financial institutions, or other third parties involved in payment processing.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RentFast and Principium Technology LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising from your use of the Service.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms or for conduct that we believe is harmful to other users, RentFast, or third parties. You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-product notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
